  1. All employees of UEM Edgenta Berhad and members of the public are eligible to make Protected Disclosures under the Policy. No unfair treatment will be meted out to a Whistleblower by virtue of his/her having submitted a Protected Disclosure under this policy.

  2. UEM Edgenta Berhad, as a policy, condemn any kind of discrimination, harassment, victimisation or any other unfair employment practice adopted against Whistleblower.

  3. Complete protection will be given to a Whistleblower against any unfair practice like retaliation, threat or intimidation of terminate/suspension of service, disciplinary action, transfer, demotion, refusal of promotion, or the like including any direct or indirect use of authority to obstruct the Whistleblower’s right to continue to perform his/her duties including making further Protected Disclosure.

  4. If the Whistleblower could prove that they have been subjected to retribution, victimisation, or detriment because of using this policy, disciplinary action will be taken against the perpetrator.

  5. If the Whistleblower is required to give evidence in criminal or disciplinary proceedings, the Company will arrange for the Whistleblower to receive advice about the procedures.

  6. Any other employee or member of the public assisting in the said investigation shall also be protected to the same extent as the Whistleblower.

  7. Disclosures should be made in good faith. Such protection is accorded even if the investigation later reveals that the Whistleblower is mistaken as to the facts and the rules and procedures involved.
